Once fearing dogs, German adventurer Heike Pirngruber is now Walking the Earth Along with Butch, a flea-covered puppy she rescued in Mexico, she reportedly became one of the most traveled dogs on the planet.
Together they crossed the continent on foot by canoeing, motorbikes and tuk tuks, news agency SWNS reported.

Butch was only a month old and alone, malnourished when she found him.
“I didn’t really like dogs as a child,” Pillungruber of Heidelberg, Germany, told SWNS. “But in the first moment I had a little butch in my arm and I knew he was mine now, so I couldn’t believe how I felt.”

Her fear of dogs came from years of solo trips. Seven of them cycling around the world. She was often chased by aggressive wanderings, she said.
However, her perspective began to change after a chance encounter in a beach hat. She had Cooked grilled chicken SWNS later reported when a street dog named Max appeared at her door.
Hesitant at first, she was sure she would feed him from her friends.
The next day, Max returns with two companions, Brownie and Push.

She began feeding them regularly, slowly discarding her fear.
Later, when locals tried to throw away the garbage from a puppy on a flea, Pirngruber made a life-changing decision. She chose Butch and took him down the road.

“It wasn’t the same anymore,” she said. “And I didn’t know how this little puppy would change my life.”
She said, “He’s my best friend. I love this guy dies and it’s great. I’ve never regretted picking him up and taking him with me. On my tripespecially since he wasn’t treated very well. ”

Butch has changed dramatically on her side than her travel routine, according to SWNS.
“Along with Butch, I always There’s someone there. I am by no means alone. I have such a connection with him and I am happy with him. ”
Pirngruber, a former camera operator for ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen), Germany’s largest broadcasting station, has traveled full-time for over 12 years.

She visited 104 countries on every continent where everyone lives.
Originally, she had planned to cross the Americas by donkey in 2020, she said, and in 2021 a break continued in Baja California.
“Along with Butch, I’ve always had someone there. I’m never alone. I have that kind of connection with him.”
But after that I’ll adopt butchshe scrapped the plan and chose other ways to continue their journey.
Over the next three years, they explored the Americas on foot by canoeing, motorcycles and tuk tuks before flying to Madrid in April 2024 on each SWNS.

After a brief return and after her third visit 12 years later, she quickly realized that life in Germany didn’t feel like her anymore.

She was pulled back to the road.
“Now I love my freedom. I love living every day. I love not knowing where I’m staying every night or where I’m staying every night. You can sell my tent. It’s a very thrilling thing,” she said.

Since then, she and Butci have walked through Spain, Andorra, France and Italy before sailing to Greece.
As of November 2024, they crossed Five European countries.

“I mainly choose where I go every day. Sometimes I want to run away from civilization and become myself. I’m also sitting in a square trying to get in touch with others either in person or via telephone.”
“I love living every day. I love not knowing where I stay every night or where I can sell my tent.”
She said, “But I’m not a planner. It’s fun. It’s about experiencing a new place. I love culture. I love understanding planets.”
She only carries the essentials she needs, she told SWNS. Camping equipmentstoves and pots, cameras, first aid, and butch medication.

“Less,” she said. “Transporting less has more freedom. That’s always a greater burden.”
Despite the occasional challenges, Pirngruber said her experience was It’s overwhelmingly positive.

“99% of people were great, and overall, I had some great encounters with people,” she said. “It’s a safe world to travel in general.”
