Mike Rizzo’s run with the Washingtonians ended earlier this week. MLB Club Reassuring his general manager, Rizzo. Duties 16 years from now.

Despite his unpleasant exit from the Nationals, Rizzo took a moment to show his appreciation for the team’s fanbase by providing unexpected gestures.

Rizzo confirmed that work for the nonprofit will continue through its Rizzo Family Foundation Instagram account. He also expressed his gratitude to the fans, noting that he was willing to cover the cost of drinks at several sports bars ahead of Monday’s Home Run Derby.

“As a way to thank fans for their amazing 19 years with the Washington Nationals, grab a ‘Round at Liz’ before a home run derby at the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern or Walter sports bar on Monday, July 14th. The first round of beer is from 5pm to 7pm. The social media post said.

Rizzo also responded to his firing during a radio interview, saying he “doesn’t regret” about his time at the front office.
“I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished,” he said. 106.7 fan. “I know I did it my way and led the organization to the way I felt was the best and we have had a lot of success.”

Rizzo also acknowledged expectations related to AN’s manager MLB Team Baseball operation.
“This is a performance-based industry. If you don’t run it based on the criteria set by ownership, it’s their option to make changes,” he said.

“I was a little surprised, but not shocked [after he was fired]Rizzo said. …We don’t think it’s based on one series through consistent communication. ”
Mark Lerner is the current principal owner of the Nationals. His father, Ted Lerner, was a general manager for many of the same year.
Washington put together a record of 1,263-1,317 and made it to the postseason five times under Lizzo. The Nationals recently parted ways with manager Dave Martinez.
