Federal judge blocks the president Donald Trump From closing three federal agencies supporting public resources, minority businesses and mediation services.
Around 20 democratically-led states have been sued to stop Trump from closing museums and library services research institutes (IMLS), minority business development agencies (MBDA), and federal mediation and mediation services (FMCS). US District Judge John McConnell, former president appointee Barack Obama, On Tuesday he affirmed their argument on the part of the state that the closure violated the separation of power.
“It … ignores the fundamental constitutional role of each branch of the federal government. Specifically, it ignores the unwavering principles that Congress creates and funds, and spends funds that are enacted by the Executive Council and allocated,” writes McConnell.
Trump administration lawyers tried to argue that the state had no position to file a lawsuit in the case, but McConnell refused.

“The state has presented compelling evidence that the harm caused by the dismantling of IML, MBDA and FMC has already been deployed or is certainly occurring.

McConnell ruled that the Trump administration “must recover the frozen funds soon” until the case can bring further lawsuits.
“As the courts have discovered, the widespread freeze of federal funds is probably unconstitutional and continues to cause irreparable harm to a vast portion of the country,” the judge wrote.
