
Lisa Whelchel wants to straighten the facts about what actually happened in the reboot of “Facts of Life.”
The actress spoke Closer than every week A year after co-star Mindy Kohn claimed that the plan had collapsed due to the nameless “greedy b —-“.
“We were all very disappointed that it didn’t work,” the 61-year-old who played Blair Warner told the outlet.

“We’ve been trying to find ways to work together with some capacity for the past decade,” Whelchel explained. “So when this seemed to happen, we were all really excited. The contract was signed, the writer’s strike, the actor’s strike, the sad state of Pennsylvania [Charlotte Rae] And Norman Leah passed. Then it just broke up. ”
“We were all very disappointed,” emphasized Wiltchell.

Ray, who played the wise and patient-centered teenage girl Hina, passed away in 2018 at the age of 92. Leah passed away in 2023 at the age of 101.

A year later, Korn appeared on Sirius XM’s “Jeff Lewis Live,” where she revealed “Greedy b —-.”
Cohn explained that “Living in front of a studio audience: Facts of Life and Different Strokes” in 2021 after the success of the ABC Special featured an all-star recreation of episodes of both shows. Includes Jennifer Aniston in Whelchel’s roleLeah reached out to the cast.

“He said, ‘Are you guys interested?” And we didn’t really talk about it, but we all started thinking about it a little, and we hired a writer.

When asked what happened, Korn replied, “It wasn’t cute what happened. Yeah… there was drama.”
“No more,” Korn said. “[She] Going behind our backs, trying to make another deal for a spinoff just for ourselves, destroying the rest of us. …I have reserved the “Palm Royale”. Another girl is working. I’m just saying it’s for 40 years of friendship and sisters. Around it there was a wave of emotion. ”
“She’s greedy b—, I’ll say that,” she added.

The 58-year-old said the actress “were now for a while, but definitely, it hurts.”
She added that “there is no desire to work together,” and that the reboot is “dead. It’s very dead.”
“A few people can’t get over it and don’t want to get over it. We are not united. Let me do that. We haven’t talked about each other and done nothing dirty for 40 years. It’s really sad,” Korn said.

The “Palm Royale” star was asked who “Greedy B —-” was among her co-stars.
Korn refused to say, hinting that her Instagram contained answers, pointing out who she spent time with and who is not clear.
The host continued to try to guess, but they said Korn wasn’t upset.

At the end of the show, the caller suggested he was Whelchel, as he did via Cohn’s Instagram. Korn joked that it was George Clooney who appeared on the show early in his career.
At the time, Cohn shared birthday messages to Fields and McKeon, but on Instagram it wasn’t Whelchel. Representatives from Whelchel, McKeon, Fields and Cohn did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

A few days after Cohn’s interview, Whelchel posted a promotion “Collector’s Call” for her METV show. Several fans noticed her support amid speculation about who caused the reboot to collapse.

“FYI II AM TEAM LISA,” one person wrote.
“You/Blair has been my favorite since I was a little kid… I really admire the class you’ve always shown, including now. Many fans are sending you support!” another person wrote.
Whelchel liked both comments.

On “Jeff Lewis Live,” Corn said he would accept that the revival did not fall off the ground.
“No one wants to see us now,” she said. “Do you know what’s cute? They want to see where you are now. They don’t want a show about it. Be honest.”
“It should stay there,” Korn shared. “…I think it’s very good where it is…this should remain wrapped up.”

In 2022, Whelchel spoke to Fox News Digital about possible reboots.
“It’s a great trip down memory lane,” she said at the time. “…We’ve been talking about rethinking the ‘facts of life’ and bringing it back to life. There’s nothing set up yet, but it was really fun to talk about it. What I brought to the table for those conversations was [that] I want to embrace a little more what reality looks like for middle-aged women. ”
“…I’m about 15 pounds heavier than ‘facts of life,'” she shared. “If we were to reimagin the show, we would like them to deal with the reality that we face when we reach a certain age.”

Whelchel pointed out that she wants to give her a realistic portrayal of her character navigating life today.
“You’re just going to be fluffy and it’s really hard to lose weight no matter what you do,” she said. “Unless you want to devote your life to eating celerysticks for four hours a day, you’ll look like a middle-aged woman. And I don’t want to hide from it.
“Actors and actresses on television and film have personal trainers and personal chefs,” she continued. “They are dedicated to looking for their lives in a certain way. I want to look a little more realistic. And I’m proud of my journey.”

“Facts of Life” aired It was spin-off on NBC from 1979 to 1988 from the series “Diff’rent Strokes,” both of which were created by Lear. Sitcoms have been popular and loved for many years, and have been running syndication across multiple networks for many years.
In 2001, most of the cast were reunited for ABC’s “The Facts of Life Reunion” TV movie. The only missing member was McKeon, who had been scheduled to compete with and compete with the work of the lifetime television series The Division.
