former NFL Online prison records show defensive Greg Hardy was arrested Wednesday after allegedly assaulting his family on Wednesday.

Hardy, 36, was drafted by Ole Miss in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He spent five seasons with the Panthers, and was on the Commissioner’s exemption list in 2014, but domestic violence incidents against him unfolded.
Fox 4 reported In 2014, Hardy’s ex-girlfriend claimed that an NFL player had assaulted her in rage. He was initially convicted of assault, but these charges were later dismissed after the victim of the lawsuit failed to appear at the second trial.

Despite recording 34 sacks and 203 tackles with the Panthers, the decision was made not to re-sign Hardy. He was then signed Dallas Cowboys As a free agent in 2015. However, he only played in 12 games of that season after being issued a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal action policy related to his case in North Carolina.
He did not re-sign the following year.
