Sarah Ferguson’s Double cancer diagnosis It wasn’t just scary – it was a life-changing moment.
The Duchess of York confessed that she was openly open about the emotional sacrifice of her double cancer diagnosis and that she felt at the time “like a death sentence.”

“When I was 63, I was diagnosed with cancer for the first time, and cancer is traumatic at all ages,” she told the outlet.
“But as adults, we have maturity and life experiences that help us defend ourselves and deal with challenges. If it is necessary, and most importantly, sadly, often taken more seriously, we can ask for help.”

Ferguson’s cancer campaign took place in June 2023 after being diagnosed with an “early type of breast cancer” detected during routine mammogram screening. She was also diagnosed with malignant melanoma in January 2024.
