Many celebrities may jump at the opportunity to sit in a “voice” chair or hand out golden tickets for “American Idol”, but fans don’t find country music legends Dolly Parton I’ll do either.
The “9-5” crooner revealed why she turned down an offer to sit on the judges board for the popular song competition show.
“I’ve been asked to do that many times,” Parton said. E! news. “It’s too hard for me, so I don’t accept it because I know how sincere everyone is, even if they’re not that good, they believe they are.

Parton, 79, is not interested in criticizing aspiring artists, but she has joined. “American Idol” Season 7 as a guest mentor in 2008. During this season, several top contestants chose to perform her songs, including winner David Cook.

Parton’s card does not include being a music judge. Country Star She is preparing to debut her autobiographical musical “Dolly: Original Musical” on Broadway in 2026. She recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of the theme park Dollywood.
