Dolly Parton After 60 years of romance, it was reflected in the life without her late husband, Carl Dean.
When he appeared on Friday in “Today,” the 79-year-old country music icon revealed how he is dealing with the loss of Dean, who passed away at the age of 82 in March.
“Yeah, you know what, when people raise it I get very emotional,” Parton shared as she toressed. “But we were 60. I’ve loved him since I was 18.”

“It’s a big adjustment just to try and change patterns or habits,” she continued. “I do well, and I’m very involved in my work, and that was the best thing that could happen to me.”

“But of course I miss him and I always love him. He was a great partner for me,” she added.

Parton announced Dean’s death in a heartfelt statement he shared on Instagram on March 3rd.

On March 7th, Parton went to Instagram to publish a new song dedicated to Dean, entitled “If You Didn’t Go There.”

“We spent 60 precious and meaningful years together,” Parton continued in her caption. “Like every great love story, they never end. They live on with memories and songs. He will always be the star of the story of my life and I will dedicated this song to him.”
