Doge made an announcement on X, highlighting several initiatives that have been put into the money.
For example, $229,296 was used to sell 100% organic sea butter in Burkina Faso. $246,217 was spent on a mango drying facility in Ivory Coast. $239,738 was spent on marketing Benin’s pineapple juice.
The department also said $99,566 was spent on increasing yogurt production in Uganda. $84,059 was spent on a business incubator for spas and wellness entrepreneurs in Nigeria. $50,000 was spent training farmers on how to grow dragon fruit in Senegal. $48,406 was spent on WhatsApp Marketing Chatbot in Kenya.

The cancelled funds included $10 million for “gender equity in the Mexican workplace,” $12.2 million for “South American Worker Empowerment,” and $6.25 million for “improving respect for workers’ rights in the agricultural supply chain” in Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.
The department has cancelled numerous Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives with federal agencies, consulting agreements, leases of underused federal buildings, and replication agencies and programs.
