Walt Disney Company You will pay $10 million to resolve a federal trade commission lawsuit that violates federal law and claims that you have allowed children under the age of 13 to collect personal data.
The FTC said Tuesday that Disney violated the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and required parental consent to child-oriented apps and websites before collecting personal information for children under the age of 13.
The complaint accuses Disney of not properly labeling videos uploaded to YouTube as “Made for Kids.” Targeted ads To the children.

“The settlement does not include Disney-owned digital platforms, but is limited to the distribution of some of the content on YouTube’s platform,” a Disney spokesperson said in a statement to Reuters.
“Disney has a long tradition of embracing the highest standards of compliance with child privacy laws and is committed to investing in the tools needed to remain a leader in this field,” the spokesperson continued.
