Federal judge Shawn: Diddy, Combs The sex trafficking case hit the rapper hard on Friday, weeks before his trial began.
Judge Arun Subramanian denied Diddy’s allegations to exclude video evidence from trial for rapper attack Ex-girlfriend Cathy Ventura.
The defense claimed that the video originally published by CNN had been digitally changed. Prosecutors argued that minor adjustments were made, noting that the person who filmed the video would testify in the estimated two-month trial.
Diddy’s team also began regaining the rapper’s defense against a stigmatized music mogul lobbed sex trafficking charge, claiming he was just a “swinger.” The argument provided by the defense arises when the prosecutor reveals that Didi has rejected the offer of a plea bargain.

“There’s a lifestyle. I call it swingers and stuff. I thought it was common,” Mark Agnifilo said at a hearing Friday.
“A lot of people think that’s appropriate because it’s common.”
Judge Subramanian determined that the “Swingers” defense would be allowed, but emphasized that Diddy’s legal team could not name other well-known individuals engaged in the “lifestyle” as examples.

Friday’s hearing was hit by Diddy’s team another hit last week. Judge Subramanian denied the rapper’s attempt to delay the start of the trial by two months.
The defense argued that Combs’ lawyers did not have the “time needed to prepare” after the government filed its third replacement charge. The latest version of the charge came against Diddy on April 3, and the rapper was arrested on April 14.
However, the start date of the trial on May 5th will remain.

Prosecutors added two new charges against Diddy in the April 3rd indictment charges after federal prosecutors allegedly engaged in sex trafficking of a female victim in 2024.
