Detroit Lions The attack took another major blow.
A few months after losing offensive coordinator Ben Johnson Pro Bowl Center Franc Lagnau He announced his sudden departure on Monday.
The 29-year-old Ragnow played all for the Lions for seven seasons in the NFL.

Ragnow posted on social media that he tried to convince him that he was feeling good enough to play, but he said that he wasn’t.
“I gave this team everything I have and I thought there was more to give, but the reality is that I simply aren’t,” Ragnow, drafted 20th by the Lions in 2018. I said in an Instagram post. “I have to listen to my body. This is one of the most difficult decisions of my life.”
“The past few months have been a lot of challenge as I realized that my football journey has ended and I’ve officially retired from the NFL,” continued Lagnau. “The Lions organization has been absolutely incredible throughout this process and I can’t stress enough how grateful I am to this team and all the fans. It was an absolute honor to fight for you.”

Ragnau has overcome multiple injuries throughout his career. In 2021, after a season in which he played with a broken throat, general managers Bradhomes and Campbell became the league’s highest-paid centers on a four-year extension of $54 million at the time.
Ragnow won second-team All-Pro honors in 2020, 2023 and 2024. He was named his first Pro Bowl under then-coach Matt Patricia in 2020, finishing third in 2022-24.

Along with Lagnow, the Lions won the NFC’s No. 1 seed with a 15-2 record, but lost in the split round to Washington’s commander.
