New Orleans Saints Derek Carr may be looking at the traffic lights on the ninth overall pick as he has injuries that could lock him out this year.
According to the NFL networkKerr deals with shoulder injuries “threatening his availability this season,” and surgery is an option.

Kerr joined the Saints ahead of the 2024 season after spending his first nine seasons with the Raiders in Oakland and Las Vegas.
It was not a truly great tenure. In 27 games, Kerr completed 68.2% of his passes with 6,023 yards, 40 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Kerr missed seven games during the 2024 season due to an AA concussion and a broken left hand.
That said, combined with Kerr, who just turned 34, the saints may have already been focusing on the quarterback.

And if Chedur Sanders falls, it suddenly seems like an ideal landing spot.
Spencer Lattler considers him to be a backup for New Orleans.
Kerr signed a four-year, $150 million contract with New Orleans, with $100 million guaranteed.
The Saints finished 5-12 and fired Dennis Allen’s head coach in the middle of the season in the final spot of the NFC South last season, and hired Kellen Moore as their new head coach.

Moore spent his recent season as an offensive coordinator at various stops. Since 2022 he has been with Cowboys, Chargers and the Monarch Super Bowl Champion Eagles.
