Senator Chris Van Hollen, D-MD.denounced MS-13 members who were denied visits with Salvador migrants after flying to the country on Wednesday morning and were deported to El Salvador.
Van Hollen was planning to visit 29-year-old Kilmer Abrego Garcia. MS-13 gang member, His lawyers argue, but he has no gang bonds.
Van Hollen spoke with a reporter in El Salvador on Wednesday afternoon.
He met with Vice President Felix Augusto Antonio Ulloa Galley because President Naibe Armando Buquer Ortez was abroad, and Van Hollen said he was grateful to speak about the case of Abrego Garcia.

“I asked the vice president if I could meet Abrego Garcia and he said, ‘Well, you need to make the previous clause to visit Secott,” Van Hollen said.
He told Uroa that he was not interested in the CECOT tour and that he just wanted to meet Abrego Garcia.
“He said he couldn’t make it happen,” Van Hollen said of Ullore.
When Van Hollen asked if he would come back to see Abrego Garcia next week, Uroar said he couldn’t promise it either. Ullore also told the US Senator that he and Abrego Garcia’s family could not even talk to prisoners on the phone.

The senator said the situation in El Salvador was “unjust” and he accused the Trump administration of lying about Abrego Garcia.
“I’m going to keep pushing,” Van Hollen said. “I’ll keep pushing the rest of my time here and then pushing past it if necessary.”
Last week’s Supreme Court Federal officials upheld a lower court’s decision to promote Abrego Garcia’s return from CECOT, which sent hundreds of criminals and gang members.
The Trump administration agreed to resolve the administrative obstacles to prevent Abrego Garcia from returning to the US, but Attorney General Pam Bondy said that would be the case for him to return “To El Salvador. If they want to return him. It’s not up to us. ”

This has not sparked a small outrage from the Democrats. Van Hollen was the first to announce plans to travel to El Salvador to secure the release of Abrego Garcia.
“Abrego Garcia was illegally accused by Trump administrators and accidentally deported to El Salvador due to their own admission,” Van Hollen posted on X on Tuesday.
“He shouldn’t have to spend a little more time away from his family,” he continued. “I will fly to El Salvador tomorrow morning to check his condition and discuss his return.”

Van Hollen’s visit to El Salvador comes just two days after another illegal immigrant from El Salvador, Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez was convicted of murdering Bel Air, Maryland resident Rachel Morin in August 2023.
Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, was jogging along Bel Air’s MA & PA trail as Martinez Hernandez was ambushed and strangled and killed.
White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt said Van Hollen’s visit to El Salvador was “a grieving grief,” and that he and other Democrats are planning a trip to the Central American country.
“The woman standing on my right, Patty Morin, knows this more than Patty Morin, who was brutally murdered and killed in August 2023 at the hands of an illegal foreigner,” Levitt said, introducing Rachel Morin’s mother. “Patty no longer has a daughter because of the unsuccessful Democrats’ open borders. And these are the policies President Trump is ending.”

Patty Morin said, “She had no plans to die. She had no plans to walk until she died. She had no plans to go to the grocery store with the girls afterwards.”
“Victor Martinez, he was waiting for her. He was waiting for her. He saw her. He saw no one. He attacked her,” Patty said.
She went on to describe the horrifying photographs presented to her by the prosecutors claiming against Martinez Hernandez.
Some photos showed Rachel’s body against the bloody outline of her body, as Martinez Hernandez raped her, as she couldn’t live to tell the story.

“These are the kind of criminals that President Trump wants to remove from our country. These are the kind of criminals we need to remove from our country,” Patty said. “We are American citizens. Why should we allow these people, violent criminals without a conscience?
“Why don’t we protect our children?” she continued. “And I can bring back a Maryland senator who recognized or barely admitted my daughter, and a grand baby she endured and now a grandmotherless baby, who doesn’t even have an American citizen to use my taxpayer money to fly to El Salvador.

Victor Martinez Hernandez, 23, was convicted of the murder of Rachel Morin on Monday.
Still, Van Hollen is not the only Democrat to discuss visiting Abrego Garcia and other imprisoned immigrants. D-FLA. Maxwell Frost, and D-Caliph Robert Garcia, issued a joint letter saying they were “ready to travel as quickly as possible.”
