Mo Khan, who identified Portnoy as one of the men involved in the incident, issued a statement about the anti-Semitism incident, accusing Portnoy of sensationalizing it to millions of social media followers. He begged those who saw his video to donate to his Gives Endgo fundraiser and denounced Portnoy for the attacks he received.
“I had nothing to do with the sign coming out, but I don’t know who did it, but I know the signs are provocative because it reminded people of the injustice that Israel is doing all over the world.
“Dave Portnoy and his friends can even stoke me out of their establishment forever, but they have no right to destroy my life with free speech.
Khan argued that Portnoy and the Jewish community had claimed they were victims of the incident, but he said he was the real victim. Khan said he was suspended from his university, lost his internship and received death threats on the incident.
When Khan agreed to the offer to travel to Portnoy for Auschwitz, he said he had made those statements “under obsessive compulsions” because he had no means or connections that Portnoy had. He said Portonoi is “hypocritical lynching me” and is trying to cancel him while building a business based on an anti-cancer culture.

“Dave Portnoy has given me a Restori ceremony and an apology for everything he has done and caused over the last few days,” Khan said. “In an attempt to expose me, he exposed himself as a near-complete scam and returned to what he supports.”

Portnoy responded to Khan’s statement later Tuesday. He wrote in X’s post that Khan is a “flat liar.”
“I spoke to him on the phone with his partner, and they both owned it and cried out about it. He became a lawyer after talking to his family,” Portnoy wrote. “His name came out because he was a fool and uploaded the ‘F–Jew’ sign to his Instagram before I knew it. He’s already been word-of-mouth without me. He spreads hatred and uses Middle Eastern conflict as an excuse.
“Now he’s trying to make money from it. There’s a lot of anti-Semitism in the world, so I’m sure he’ll make money. This is the most surprising thing ever. He’s the definition of a colic, and he has zero accountability for his actions.

Portnoy said in another video that he felt “silly” when trying to show off grace and try to make things right.
“This is the face of being a colic,” he said of Khan.
