Kasey Musgraves I know that just because something has a simple sound doesn’t mean it’s not easy to create.

“And there’s a lot of restraint,” she added. “There’s a lot of space for really good traditional country music, lyrics, stories, broken hearts and textures. I’m really grateful for the era of country music. I draw, but it’s subtle and easy.”

And while some celebrate Musgraves’ “return,” the singer claims she “never leave.”
The 36-year-old has returned with Lost Highway Records, the first label that once represented a country legend. Willie Nelson The label was folded before Lyle Lovett folded in 2012. The label recently rebooted, with Musgraves signing on first.

“Some people may think of it as ‘return’, but I want to be very clear that I didn’t leave,” the “deep well” singer said. “It’s always home base and it’s really the happiest place I’m acoustically happiest. But from the start, I’ve always pulled my exploratory feet out of the door a bit so that I can infuse all these other genres that I always talk to.”
Interscope Capitol and IGA Chairman and CEO John Janick said Musgraves fit the record for the lost highway.
“The Lost Highway carved out a special place in Nashville’s incredible musical heritage,” he shared a statement to Country Music Magazine’s Horror.
He said, “Kacey illustrates something like the artist on the left of the center, changing the culture where the lost Highway is always known. Given her close relationship with both the lost Highway and Interscope, it seemed natural that she would become the first artist signed in this new chapter.”

“From the age of seven and eight, I’ve been singing the standards and classics of all countries: Hank Williams, Patsy Klein, Loretta Lynn, Hank Snow, Cindy Walker,” she revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “That’s that part of me. Even if I do that, I can’t get away.”
The singer said, “I’ve always heard that kind of thing, so it really feels good to embrace the sound with all my heart.”
In fact, her “Lost Highway” version has Twang, who listens to the early days of country music.
