Americans continue to invest in aesthetic health.
A new report from the American Association of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) shows stable growth in Cosmetics Procedures Last year, especially in body contours and minimal invasive treatment.
Data from the report detailed below reveals where people spend their money.
Cosmetic surgery is stable
Of the 1.6 million cosmetic surgery surgeries performed in 2024, liposuction and breast augmentation surgery tops the list.
- Liposuction: 349,728 steps
- Breast augmentation: 306,196 steps
- Abdominal tuck (abdominal plasty): 171,064 procedures
- Breast milk lift: 153,616 steps
- Eyelid surgery (eyephrplasty): 120,755 procedures

“These treatments remain strong due to affordability and drop times,” says Dr. Christy Hamilton, an ASPS member surgeon, who is a general plastic surgeon based in Houston, Texas.
“Despite the so-called ‘filler fatigue’, HA fillers continue to top the list. They are very effective when done naturally,” she added.

“There’s a tendency to go towards the ‘ballerina body’,” Dr. Michelle Sharmack, a general plastic surgeon based in Baltimore, Maryland, said in the report.
“Large implants, lifted silhouettes – women want to look sophisticated, not overdoing it.”

Cosmetic procedures were not the only area of growth. In 2024, more than a million reconstructive surgeries were performed, including the most common listed below.
