a Connecticut man I was saved from the slippery situation.
The unidentified 40-year-old was stuck in a tube slide on August 16th at a playground at an elementary school in Vernon, Connecticut.
After 4:30pm, the towns of Vernon Fire Station, Vernon EMS and Vernon Police Station responded and sent to Northeast Elementary School. Fire Station.

The first unit to arrive at the scene discovered that a man had his head stuck in the middle of the slide.
Additional help was requested, including a fire truck, rescue 141, and tower 541.

The male was provided with ventilation and oxygen via EMS. Hot summer temperature.

“Because Rescue 141 was deploying escape tools, the Tower 541 was installed adjacent to the grass playground, using the air ladder as a high point to stabilize sections of slides that firefighters had been removing to reach the patient,” he explained on Facebook.

Within 30 minutes, the man was released after the responders were able to remove the bottom part of the slide and split it into two.
The man reportedly refused treatment and transport emergency room.

“This is a unique call for service to the fire department, but the professionalism shown on the ground was exemplary,” Vernon Fire Department reflected in a Facebook post, which has attracted the attention of the virus from the public.
