Comer notifies Harvard University of Federal Funding
Rep. James Comer testifies before a civil rights investigation into Harvard, a Democrat cut off from spending taxpayer money to El Salvador, a sanctuary city governor, lawmakers and purchasing U.S. farmland in China.
Three Blue State Governors have been summoned to Washington, DC to testify on sanctuary policies before Republicans run House of Representatives Oversight Committee.
Chairman James Kommer, R-KY. Announces the hearing next month on June 12th, featuring three Democratic leaders: New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pretzker and Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz.
“The Sanctuary policy simply provides sanctuary to foreigners of illegal crime. Former President Biden has created the worst border crisis in US history and allowed illegal criminal foreigners to flood our communities,” Comer said in a statement.

“The Trump administration is taking critical action to deport foreigners from our country who violate crimes, but reckless sanctuaries like Illinois, Minnesota and New York are actively urging them to block federal immigration enforcement,” he continued.
“The governors of these states must explain why they prioritize protection of illegal criminal aliens over the safety of US citizens, and they must be accountable.”
It could be a controversial hearing as Hochul, Walz and Pritzker act as past bougaimen on the left.

Republicans denounced Governor of Blue State Continuing to promote a border crisis by resisting the Trump administration’s severe crackdown on illegal immigration.
Walz is particularly noteworthy. Former House member himself, it was one of the Democrats’ first appearances to return to Washington since former President Kamala Harris lost as a running buddy in the 2024 presidential election.
Both Walz and Pritzker have emerged as potential 2028 presidential candidates.

The hearing will come after a similar event, as the House Oversight Committee heard from Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston and New York Mayor Eric Adams.
Comer sent each of the three governors seeking information on sanctuary policies in April.
