After living Hollywood For 20 years, Tom Green was ready to go home.
It was in 2021 that the comedians and actors returned to their home country in Canada. Today, he lives on a 150-acre farm in remote areas of Ontario along with chickens, donkeys and 1,500 pound mule, among other animals.
“I’m often in the wilderness,” the 53-year-old told Fox News Digital. “There are not many restaurants and conveniences outside the farm. In California, I’m glad we were able to do stand-up comedy every night. It was nice to have 200 different sushi restaurants.

The MTV star, who mischievously engaging everyone during his time at Y2K, including his parents, chronicles his new life in the series of Prime Video’s “Tom Green Country.”

“The show was pretty outrageous and kind of crazy,” he recalled. “It was done in the early days of home videos before social media. I think it shocked people and confused people at times. I was playing my own characters and wild, crazy versions of myself.
Green said His desire to leave California It started during the pandemic. His stand-up comedy tour has been postponed this year. So he decides to go out into the desert in a camper van.

“I was traveling the southwest of the United States in a camper van that makes videos for my YouTube channel and recording podcasts,” he explained. “Then I just realized I love being in nature. I grew up in Canada, And I always spent a lot of time fishing and going out into the wilderness there. I just decided that I wanted to live that way. ”

“So I went home,” he pointed out.
Green’s farm is “not too far from where I grew up,” he shared. It’s close to his parents, and he approaches the “Godfather” style, famous for putting a cow head on the bed.

“They are still talking to me,” he said. “When I got a farm close to my family, it was the best decision I’d made. I really think it’s a huge difference from Los Angeles. I’m happy to be on the farm.”

“I’ve never really felt completely home in Los Angeles…it always felt alien to me,” Greene reflected. “It always felt strange to me to be in Los Angeles and that world, and I had so much fun there. I’ve started a stand-up comedy again 20 years ago in Los Angeles… I played at the Great Comedy Club in LA… But I always felt like I wasn’t home enough and wanted to live close to my family. ”
Green picked up some unexpected skills along the way.

“Ride my mule,” he boasted. “I knew nothing about riding a horse or a mule. I didn’t know how to get up in the morning and go outside and take care of the huge 1,500-pound animal.”

His new woman was inspiration, he said.
“Fanny is a massive easy-to-ride mule, and perhaps the biggest easy-to-ride mule in Canada… I addle her every morning. I ride her in the wilderness. I really could use her to ride her and use her to avoid her property.

“I never lived on a farm when I grew up,” Green shared. “I lived in the city of Ottawa… [But] I go out naturally. I go fishing, and I go out to the country. We had a cabin to go out and fish as kids, but I didn’t actually have any livestock or all of it. ”

Escape from the glamour and charm of Hollywood has brought a new peace of mind in greenery. He rides a fanny in the morning to feed the chickens. He also works around a farmhouse in 1857, and his dog, Charlie, is always nearby. You can also find him on ATV along with his fiancee Amanda Nelson. he Previously he was married to Drew Barrymore. From 2001 to 2002.
“When I lived in Los Angeles and worked in show business, it was always go-go,” he said. “You’re always trying to understand what you’re doing next and you can be stressed out. It’s nice to live in a simpler, more calm environment and be in the presence of these animals. It’s a very calm and peaceful thing.

Today, Green lives on his terms. He is still following the path to playing comedy. However, he soon returns to his home, where his animals eagerly greet him.

Everyone can do that, he insisted. Know what you signed up for.
“If you want to move to a country and leave the city, you have to really like that country lifestyle,” Green said. “You need to enjoy every aspect of it, not just peace and quiet. You love to wake up in the morning and walk through the wilderness. Maybe there are a few mosquitoes here and there. Maybe there are muddy boots. But it’s in your blood.”

“To do things like fishing, hunting, just being outdoors can be very cathartic if it’s really in your mind,” he said. “If you feel it’s in your mind and want to live a simpler, more rural lifestyle, you should do it because you don’t think you’ll regret it. It’s not for anyone, but it was a great choice for me.”
