Indiana Fever Although there was no need to come to Caitlyn Clark’s defense this time, the Valkyries of Golden State didn’t make it easy for her to do so on Thursday night.
Clark came out of the game with many extracurricular activities after whi between herself and the Connecticut sun, but was not her usual sharp shooting self at 88-77 loss of fever to Valkyrie on the road.
Clark shot Just a third off the field blew a 13-point lead in the game, dropping to 6-6 a year, including her seven three-point attempts passing the hoops.

Clark recorded 11 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, turning the ball into Golden State over six times.
Clark struggled beyond the arc, but her teammates didn’t get much better. As a team, Fever shot only eight-twenty-nine from the 3-point land. Sophie Cunningham was called Clark’s “bodyguard” on the court with the Sun in previous matches and was the only one to hit one or more of her attempts.

Meanwhile, the Valkyries, led by Kayla Thornton’s 16-point night with five three-pointers, currently owns the same 6-6 records.
Golden State also saw major contributions from the bench with Tiffany Hayes (14 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds), Chloe Bibby (12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist), and Lecitycha Amihele (10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists).
In Indiana, Aliya Boston led the team with 17 points, while Kelsey Mitchell (16 points) and Natasha Howard (13 points) all made double-digit landings in that category. However, the turnover played a major factor in losing the fever lead as Valkyries forced a total of 17 while committing only 7.

This distinctive performance from Clark comes especially after being thrust into the eyes and very physically pushed into the ground WNBA The Commissioners Cup Game on Tuesday night.
Clark was protected by Jacee Sheldon when the Sunguard plunged her into her eyes, and the fever superstar retaliated by pushing her away.
The result was Sun Marina Mabry running around, pushing Clark into the ground while her back was facing. A skirmish occurred, but it wasn’t the end for both teams.
Later in the game, Cunningham closed out Sheldon while trying to win a basket in the fourth quarter, escalating to the point where both players were kicked out after a physical altercation under the hoop.

Indiana won the game 88-71, with Clark collecting 20 points and six assists. It was her second game since returning from her injury.
But this is certainly not the way Clark or Fever wanted to respond after that chippy game against the sun. The next opportunity to return to the victory column is Sunday with the Las Vegas ace.
