Archaeologists recently announced the discovery of the skeleton Colonial Williamsburg – But the skeleton was not due to the revolutionary war.
The body was found, according to the Associated Press. (See the video at the top of this article.)
Near the building, archaeologists were surprised when they discovered the eye sockets of a human skull, as well as four human skeletons and three amputated legs.

Rather than returning to colonial America, the four skeletons date back to Civil War era. According to local historians, the soldiers died in 1862 at the Battle of Williamsburg while fighting for the Alliance.
