Carney Wilson She was asked in the 90s that she was so upset by a music executive that she ran to the crying toilet.
Wilson, a member of the girls’ group Wilson Phillips, had recorded her debut album with her younger sisters Wendy Wilson and Channa Phillips.
Wilson revealed to “Epic Other” podcast The executive asked her, “What are you going to do about this weight issue?”

“I remember coming across the bathroom and sobbing,” Wilson said.
She said, “He really got caught up in an apology about it, and he said, “I can’t believe I said it.”
“I remember coming across the bathroom and sobing.”
Wilson said Host Billy Corgan It took a music executive to “year” to apologize to her. She recalled telling an executive, “You’re so funny and so wonderful. And you told me that. Why did you do that?”
Wilson continues, “It seems you’ve lost control and you really just chose the wrong words. And were you really afraid that my fat wouldn’t make us succeed?”

Kogan chose to brighten up the conversation and joked. (Wilson Phillips sold 10 million copies of his debut album.)
His comment gave Wilson a laugh. Wilson added: “Motherf–Els.”
“That’s what they think,” Corgan pointed out.

Wilson also showed how she was positioned in the music video.
“It was always “hiding the Carney.” I had to stay in this light for my chin,” she said, showing how I had to put my hands on my face to cover my chin.

“That’s very humiliating,” Corgan noted.
“But I embraced my role. I liked it. It was like power. I was different…it was part of the armor I had,” Wilson said.

The group is famous for wearing lingerie for 1992’s “You Don’t Make Me Cry” Music Video Then Wilson explained her outfit and said she was put in “these corsets that were smoking me and trying to skin as much as possible.”
Wilson continues, “I was bleeding. I had pain in my lower back and was trying to skin. It was just terrible.”

Corgan said, “So what strikes me… If Wilson Phillips came out today, you would have been accepted in that other way. You have something to do with that body’s positivity, but who you are, people would be very different.

“That’s ironic,” Wilson said before adding, “I’ve never tapped that negativity. I don’t like negativity. Everyone who made fun of me was just unhappy and that was easy… I love to lift people up… I couldn’t understand if someone was making fun of me.
