In a recent interview, Simon responded to Carpenter’s album cover, causing quite a stir.
Carpenter’s album artwork for “Man’s Best Friend” showed a picture of the singer on her hands and knees as it appeared to hold her with her hair. The “Busy Woman” singer wore a black mini dress and a heel matching heel in the photo.

Simon argued that the current rage surrounding Carpenter’s album is relatively mild compared to past examples of bold artistic expression in the music industry.
“She’s not doing anything outrageous,” and “You’re so useless,” the singer said in an interview with Rolling Stone. “It looks like he’s been tamed.”
“There was a much more flashy cover than her,” Simon said. “One of the most amazing covers I’ve ever seen is [The Rolling Stones’] “Adhesive fingers. ” It was there from a sexual attitude perspective. So I don’t know why she gets that kind of water. ”
When Carpenter shares her latest album cover “Man’s best friend” Fans commented immediately.

“This cover makes me uncomfortable…” one person wrote.
Another comment read, “I hate that!!!”
Other fans enjoyed Carpenter’s album, writing, “I want her to be iconic.”
Simon is not used to pushing envelopes herself, but the singer responded to similar criticism she received for her famous 1975 “Paysum” album.

“Everyone saw it and people definitely responded to it,” Simon told Rolling Stone, her own cover at the time. “But they probably wouldn’t have told me what they really thought.”
“You belong to me” singer is famous for posing in a lace black dress that fits leather boots. Although she didn’t show Simon’s face, she was photographed in her lap on the album cover.
