Harris English will be performing next week Open Championship In the Royal Portrush, he probably doesn’t have his tournament buddy either.
English caddyEric Larson is currently stuck in the US because he was unable to obtain a new Electronic Travel Agency (ETA) visa for travel to the UK, a regulation applicable to Americans.
Thirty years ago, Larson pleaded guilty to sending cocaine to a friend in the Midwest. He was neither a user nor a large dealer, but he spent 10 years and three months in prison before being released from Halfway House in June 2006.

Larson said he needed an ETA visa until the US opened and when he filled out the form he didn’t realize he was rejected. Reasons for rejection include applicants convicted of criminal offences in the UK or abroad who have served in prison for more than 12 months.
“I don’t think the UK has seen much of his past,” English told the Renaissance Club on Tuesday ahead of the Scotland opening. “And apparently it’s an ongoing work.”

English is ranked 19th in the world and 10th in the US. Rider Cupwho said he didn’t notice Larson’s light-like shape just after he finished fourth in the Travelers Championship three weeks ago.
English said he contacted the British ambassador, Warren Stevens, whom he had contacted with his Chief of Staff.
“They wrote a letter. The R&A wrote a letter. The PGA Tour wrote a letter. The charity event (Operation New Hope) where Eric works in the United States wrote a letter. “I think he’s sitting somewhere on someone else’s desk in the government.”

English was part of the Ryder Cup team in the Whisling Strait during the demolition of Team Europe in 2021 – they revenge in Rome two years later – Larson was in a bag. This year’s event will be held at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York.
