Condemning lawsuit BYU Sexual assault quarterback Jake Letzraff reportedly was rejected.
The Retzlaff lawyer and the woman who accused him of sexually assaulting him in his apartment in November 2023 filed a joint motion to Salt Lake City’s 3rd District Court on Monday, dismissing the case. Multiple reports.
The joint claim is due to the fact that it is translated into the plaintiff being unable to refill the suit “on the basis of bias and the merits of the plaintiff’s complaints against the defendant.”

This is because Retzlaff reportedly intended to move from BYU, and seven games were expected to be suspended due to breaking the university’s honor code. As a graduate student, Retzlaff can confirm that he will play a full season before diving into the NFL.
BYU is run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and engaging in consensual pre-marital sex is a violation of the school’s honor law. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, it is a strict set of rules that instruct students to “live a chaste and integral life.”
Retzlaff is not a Mormon, but all students who register with BYU must follow the Honor Code.
A woman called Jane Doe AG accused Retzlaff of sexually assaulting her in a lawsuit filed in May. Retzlaff was sued in November 2023 for battery, assault and intentional infringement of intentional emotional distress for alleged incidents at his apartment.
Retzlaff, 22, was not criminally charged.

The woman claimed she met Retzlaff via social media before agreeing to visit him in his apartment to play video games. All ESPN.
According to ESPN, Retzlaff put his hands on the woman’s neck and claimed that she raped her after she tried to leave his apartment. However, in a new application last Friday, Retchlaff denied the allegations, claiming that the two were engaged in consensual sex.
“Mr. Retzlaff specifically and explicitly denies all allegations that he was bitten, raped or strangled. [the woman]”A lawyer for Retzlaff wrote via ESPN, it’s a ridiculous and strange allegation, everything is false and not true.”
Retzlaff’s lawyers also accused the woman of forcing her, claiming that the quarterback had never heard of her in more than a year. But now he says, NFL Draft Prospect customer: “Law was announced, USA TODAY I reported it cited Friday’s application.
Retzlaff moved to BYU in 2023 and led the way in 2024 with a 11-2 record for the Cougars.

While the lawsuit is being dismissed, Retzlaff is still facing a BYU suspension, as he said he claims they are claiming they have consensual sex.
It is unclear where Retzlaff will be transferred, or which teams are interested in him this year.
