The Milwaukee Bucks front office is tasked with remodeling the roster amid uncertainty about the future of franchise players Giannis Antetokounmpo.
ESPN reportedciting sources, the Bucks decided to abandon starguard Damian Lillard. Lillard still owes $113 million, and the report says those payments are expected to be extended over the next five years.
Lillard’s 2024-25 season in Milwaukee was shortened due to a torn Achilles tendon.

Lillard went through the process of dealing with his injuries in May. He is expected to continue his rehabilitation in Portland, where he spent the first 11 seasons of his NBA career.
Meanwhile, the Bucks acquired center Miles Turner from Indiana Pacers. According to ESPN, Turner and the Bucks have reached an agreement on a four-year deal worth $107 million.

Turner spent 10 years in Indiana, but the two-time NBA block leader looked like a deadlock that comes with the situation in Indianapolis.

Representatives for the Pacers and Turner were unable to reach an agreement on the new deal, so the Bucks opened the door for landing the new center.
Turner is one of three NBA players with 700 3-pointers and 1,400 blocks.

The roster reshaping continued Tuesday as the team signed a two-year contract with Gary Harris. Harris has spent the last few years with the Orlando Magic after starting his NBA career with the Denver Nuggets.

After a long run with the Portland Trail Blazers, Lillard was included in a smash three-team contract during the 2023 campaign, so he left the Western Conference and landed in Milwaukee.

Lillard is a nine-time NBA All-Star. The Pacers eliminated the Bucks in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
