A bipartisan group of lawmakers in Capitol Hill will introduce the bill on Wednesday to help Americans with physical problems who will be disqualified from military service to find jobs for civilians in the military and defense industry.
The Defense Workforce Integration Act is sponsored by Republicans and Democrats Both council rooms.
The proposal seeks to help thousands of Americans suffer from physical problems disqualifying them from their services, but will target workforce shortages in key areas such as manufacturing, cybersecurity and defense logistics.

“In many cases, the US Department of Defense invests considerable time and resources in training military recruits. These new employees are considered for medical reasons, many of which do not prohibit us from working to keep our country safe.”
Key provisions of the law include instructions Ministry of Defense Provide private employment opportunities information to those who have been medically disqualified from their services during the initial assessment.

The bill also aims to support service members who are disqualified early in their careers. Air Force Best practices by establishing Army and Navy personnel management programs. These programs promote recommendations to the Department of Defense’s civil employment authorities and improve access to the employment process without ensuring jobs.
“Medical issues can prevent some patriotic Americans from active military service, but they don’t need to prevent them from finding other ways to serve our country,” said Senator Mike Round, co-sponsor of the Senate bill.
