Sun Devils in Arizona Quarterback Sam Leavitt has a list written on the whiteboard in his room.
That’s Quarterback listand no, that’s not what he’s aiming for. He’s the quarterback he wants to beat towards the 2025 season.
Leavitt doesn’t reveal the exact name of the list, but it’s a tactic he’s been using for a while and helps to drive extra motivation whenever he needs it.

That’s what Lewitt learned from his brother, Darrin. NFL Safe.
“I’ve never grown up,” Leavitt told Fox News Digital. “There were always people ranked higher than I’m looking at, but I think my brother at one point said, ‘You have to chase someone.’ For him, it really worked.
“It took me a few years before I really bothered that because I wasn’t revived, so I wasn’t listed, so I wasn’t in the top 25 or top 50. So it’s kind of hard to name it.”
This list is guaranteed by Leavitt. In his first year breakout season with Sun Devils, Leavitt has shown the right person to be in the conversation of a top college quarterback heading into the 2025 campaign.
Leebit was often overlooked Oregon ducks The school is expected before transferring to Michigan in 2023. He only saw the time in four games, and this time he jumped again to Tempe’s Rob Dillingham’s head coach of Big XII team.
The move proved to be the best as Leavitt helped lead Arizona to the College Football Playoffs after winning the Big XII conference. Leavitt threw for 2,885 yards for a 24-yard touchdown for 243 yards and rushed for 443 yards and five scores.
“At this point now I’m around the top 10 guys, I’ll name them and it gives me a little extra,” he said. “You need to have a little extra motivation to get up half an hour before, go to bed early, do the last few stretches, or watch this little tape when you’re like, ‘Hmm, I really don’t want to do it.” That list gives you that last little kick. ”

Although they can provide fuel if necessary, Leavitt’s drive doesn’t have to revolve around reading the names of other quarterbacks every day.
In fact, despite all the benefits that have come out since last year for Leavitt, he is not at all satisfied with the outcome.
“I didn’t play to the level I wanted to play, and I left so much on the table I felt,” he said when asked how it was reflected in the 2024 season. “It gives me an offseason drive to do what I should be doing, that’s how every player should feel, and you shouldn’t be satisfied with what you did.
“I even look back at my senior year when we won the state title. It’s never sat with me. I don’t know. I didn’t play to the level I wanted to play.
Levitt and his Arizona teammates are heading for the New Year in anticipation as the Sun Devils have won targets on their backs as ruler Big XII champions.

And that’s absolutely fine for Levitt, who has another word on his whiteboard next to the quarterback list, Heissman’s list.
“I think it’s the Heisman and the National Championship, and that’s the ultimate goal,” he said. “But every day, the team is getting better. Overall, you need to have these big goals to chase something. But that doesn’t come without daily work, so it’s getting better since last year, surpassing yourself, surpassing yourself, surpassing yourself, surpassing yourself.
