
Italian archaeologists recently unearthed ancient Roman tombs while excavating the necropolis.
The discovery was announced on March 21 by the director of Archaeology, Art and Landscape (ABAP) of the Naples metropolitan area.
In a statement translated from Italian to English, authorities said excavations were made in Liternum, an ancient town near the city of Giugliano in Campania.
