Archmanning The 2026 NFL Draft hype began as soon as the 2025 draft concluded on Saturday.
Texas Longhorns The quarterback was pinned in 2026 as one of the first few draft picks as mock drafts began to be released. In some mock drafts, he was first or second overall. At least one person dropped him to number 8. The Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts were tapped as part of a team that could pick him.

There was yet no indication that Manning would declare a draft with the Longhorns following the 2025 season. He still could play for Texas another year and abandon the draft altogether.
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter warned earlier this month Manning might wait another year.
“First of all, there’s no guarantee that Arch Manning will appear next year,” Shefater said on ESPN’s “Get Up.” “It certainly sounds like he can stay for more than next year.
“I’m not an insider in college football, but none of the Mannings left early and I don’t know. Why money is what it is, why does the Arch do that?

The sellers for Pennsylvania’s Drew Allah and South Carolina’s Lanoris were predicted to be one of the top quarterbacks along with Manning in the 2026 draft class.
