Progressive Champion Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and a few other Democrats quickly put the prospects of President Berkeley each Donald Trump To launch a military strike in Iran without parliamentary permission.
“The president’s tragic decision to bomb Iran without approval is a serious violation of the constitution and the powers of Congress in war,” the four-term New York lawmaker wrote on social media on Saturday night, shortly after announcing the attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Ocasio-Cortez Trump accused him of “impulsively putting himself in danger of launching a war that could seduce us for generations. It is absolutely clearly the basis for each.”

However, he emphasized that “the president has no authority to bomb other countries that do not pose an immediate threat to the United States without Congressional approval. This is a clear, impossible crime.”

“I’m not saying I’m voting for bullet each,” Kasten added. “I’m saying you won’t do this without Congress’ approval.”
The call for each of the blasts is the most visible and farthest reach of the party’s rage towards Trump to take one-sided action against Iran.

House minority leader Hicombe Jeffries of New York, a top Democrat with the Chamber of Commerce, wrote that the president “didn’t ask Congress for approval to risk military force and risky US entanglements in a potentially disastrous war in the Middle East.”
“Donald Trump’s shoulders are full and full responsibility for the unfavorable consequences that flow from his unilateral military action,” Jeffries added in a statement.
The administrative agencies technically do not have the legal authority to order foreign military attacks without Congressional approval, but previous presidents, including Bill Clinton, have said. Congress has not actually declared war since 1941, following Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II. Law officers have also been long divided as to whether the president has the authority to unilaterally launch military strikes.
