Anthony Weiner, a dishonest former supervisor who is about to return to politics as a member of New York City Council, said in an interview that “women are crazy about me,” despite being asked to go to prison and register as a sex offender.
“Yes, my God, they’re obsessed with me. Women are obsessed with me,” Weiner said when comedian and podcaster Adam Friedland asked if politicians in power were more attractive to the opposite sex.
Weiner’s sexting saga began more than a decade ago after indecent photos of a married House member wearing his underwear were posted on one of Weiner’s public social media accounts.

“If he had been right, and his name was Matt Kiddoff, he would have had the story,” Weiner said.
“No, that’s not true,” Friedland said. “Think it like this. If it were today, it would be a 48-hour news cycle and you’d forget it.”
Weiner challenged Friedland’s theory and told him that it was not a novel idea to think that technology played a role in making his sexting scandal so widely public.
“Let’s move away from this one rather than a terrible, novel idea that technology played a role,” says Weiner.
Weiner and Friedland continued to discuss the sexting scandal, including the potential domino effects James Comey had done in connection with his investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
