
Archaeologists have announced the remaining discoveries of the 5,000-year-old, who appear to belong to the great social women of ancient Peruvian civilizations.
The tomb was discovered in Aspero, an area of the Caralsite In PeruIt was previously used as a dump for local governments, Reuters reported.
Archaeologist David Palomino He told Reuters that the way women’s skin, hair and nails were preserved indicates that she is “high status” in the ancient Caral civilization.

“This is an important burial because it has a corresponding element for high-ranking women,” Palomino said.
It is estimated that she died between the ages of 20 and 35.

However, researchers are unclear about the exact date of the burial.

Palomino said the tomb was surrounded by a basket with offerings, vases, gourds and a Toukan beak, according to Reuters.
He said the findings “not only did men have an important connection to this civilization, but they were also complementary to that of women.”

According to the United Nations World Heritage website, Caral is known as the oldest civilization center in the Americas.

The city dates back to the late, old-fashioned periods of the Central Andes, the website notes.

Approximately 3,000 people are thought to live in Karal.
