Anniversary weekend, Starting the summer is set to break new travel records this year.
The AAA plans to travel in large numbers of 45.1 million Americans who will travel at least 50 miles from their homes over the long weekend.
Of the millions of Americans travelling, AAA predicts 3.61 million will fly to their destinations. This is an increase of 2% from last year.

A TSA spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the agency continues to urge passengers to obtain their actual IDs and bring other acceptable IDs for the trip.
“Summer trips are on top of us, but we still have time to get our real ID,” the spokesman said.

“The TSA checkpoint presents a state-issued identification that is not compliant with the actual ID, and another acceptable alternative form of ID will be notified of a violation of compliance, directed towards another area, receiving additional screenings, and passengers will be added to receive additional screenings,” the spokesperson added.
