
A former Democrat from Spanberger in Abigail, Virginia, is accused by GOP opponents of the Virginia governor’s race to fail to include his role as a councillor in his financial disclosure report while she was a member of the Congress.

“Abigail Spanberger not only hides trust, but also holds nearly $1 million in assets,” Earl Sears campaign executive director Payton Vogel said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “It’s not an accident – it’s a calculated lie. The disclosure form doesn’t require anyone to put their family at risk. It’s just honest. If she lies about this serious thing, Virginians can’t trust her.”
Additionally, the Earle-Sears campaign points to requirements in the House Ethics Manual of Congress that members of the Congress must “disclose non-governmental positions” “whether or not they are compensated or not, including the position of “trusted”;
