former New York Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has not been waiting for his final meeting with new head coach Aaron Glenn in his first reveal since a string of rumors circulated following the end of his second season with the team.

“It wasn’t a jet plane, because it wasn’t a great conversation.”
Rogers He then expanded his comments, detailing the “confusing” and “strange” final conversation he shared with Glenn. According to Rogers, he was flying to the Jets facility in the hopes of having a long conversation with team leadership about his future.
Instead, what he got was a brief story about Glenn’s desire to move in a different direction.
“It was a funny two years to say the least, but when I flew around the country on my own dime, I thought there was a conversation. And what’s confusing and oddly for me was that when I went out there, I met my coach…

Rodgers said Glenn was back with the team’s new general manager, Darren Moogie, but the conversation quickly changed.
“We’re sitting in the office and I think we’re going to have this long conversation – I’m flying across the country – and he goes in 20 seconds – I’m literally talking to the GM about something, and he leaned towards the end of his seat and said, “So do you want to play football?”
Rogers replied that he did it, but he soon came across Glenn’s news.
“We’re going in a different direction at quarterback.”
“I wasn’t mad about it, I was surprised,” added Rogers. “I felt there wasn’t enough respect for that meeting. I don’t think we should be surprised based on some of the things we’ve seen over the past two years.”

Perhaps the most shocking revelation was Glenn’s explanation, according to Rogers.
“I don’t want the guy to look back at you,” Rogers said, Glenn. He called the exchange “a bit of a cheating” on Glen’s part, but admitted that he was still grateful for his two years with the organization.
Rodgers has been linked to several teams in the offseason, but he said Thursday that his retirement is still on the table.
