Country singer Connor Smith attacked and killed an elderly woman crossing the street on Sunday night.
The 24-year-old was driving a Chevrolet Silverd pickup truck when he attacked a 77-year-old woman identified as Dorothyed Bins as she was crossing the street in downtown Nashville. Metropolitan Nashville Police Station.
The fatal collision occurred at the third Avenue North near Van Buren Street around 7:30pm

Dobbins, a local resident, was said to be in a prominent crossing when he was hit by a pickup truck.
She was reportedly crossing the street near her home when the incident occurred. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she died.
“The preliminary contribution to this crash appears to be Smith’s failure to give way to pedestrians,” police said.

“He showed no signs of disability. As the investigation continues, there are no charges at this time.”
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department shares it with Fox News Digital and further updates to the investigation may take weeks.
Smith’s lawyer confirmed in a statement to Fox News Digital that “Creek is rising” singer was “engaged in a car accident that claimed life tragically.”

“During this incredibly difficult time, his heart is directed at Dobbins’ family. Smith continues to fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation.”
Smith was not affected by his phone at the time and was not distracted, sources told Fox News Digital. Sources also claimed that Smith was released shortly after the accident because he showed no signs of disability.
The fatal collision took place on the last day of the annual CMA Festthe country music festival held in Nashville over the weekend.
The “I Hate Alabama” crooner shared photos from his performance, but there was no statement regarding the crash.
