Chubb was expected to sign with Houston, but the deal was physically pending Monday, which clearly worked.
Browns And while Chubb had been discussing the possibility of a reunion before the 2025 NFL Draft, the NFL network reported that both parties were unable to find a common foundation in the deal.
Then Chubb was looking for the next opportunity elsewhere, but he got it with one of the best offenses in the NFL.
He forms a team Joe Mixonall running backs rushed with 1,325 scrimmage yards and 1,016 yards rushed with 12 touchdowns in 14 games in their first season against Houston. As a result, he won a trip to the Pro Bowl.
The NFL team loved the threat of dual running backs, especially as David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are wreaking havoc for the Detroit Lions. As a result, the team has invested in duos who can do the same for their offense, and head coach DeMekoryan would prefer his backfield if he could stay healthy.

Chubb once broke through in his second season with the Browns for 1,494 yards on the ground, with the elite NFL returning and for his first Pro Bowl nod. He thought Cleveland wanted to become a second round pick from Georgia in 2018 and would win four straight Pro Bowls from 2019-22.
However, Chubb’s career gets a bit off track during “Monday Night Football” on the road in the second week of the 2023 season, with a terrible knee injury. Faced with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chubb suffered a brutal hit, and his knees were clearly in the wrong direction. He was kicked out for the rest of the season.
Chubb had been on a long recovery and missed the first six games of the Browns’ 2204 campaign. He returned to the NFL field in week 7, running for 332 yards on 102 attempts in eight games.
They were hesitant to bring him back, as it wasn’t the type of production the Browns were used to from Chubb. When the NFL Draft came on, they took in the Ohio State Quinsion Judkins and Tennessee State Dylan Sampson to add to the depth chart, which already had Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr.

Therefore, Chubb’s days with the Browns are over.
Perhaps Chubb is able to summon his old self in the Texans uniform this season, with the team preparing for another playoff run.
