Biles calls Gaines “really sick.” However, social media reactions did not appear to reach the back of the gold medalists.
“To acknowledge how the public moved on to this, I look at Simone Biles’ comments section, go to Instagram, go to Twitter, go to articles posted, go to Tiktok and she’s absolutely demolished where I really felt bad,” Gaines said. “Clay and Buck.”
“I read these comments, I’m like, ‘Oh, well’. I was ready when I received that notification on my phone so that an onslaught of hatred would come towards me. It’s not what’s going on.

“In Minnesota, California, Washington, Oregon and Maine, boys stole state qualifying spots, state championships and podium spots from worthy, hardworking girls,” the outkick contributor added. “So, the whole argument that ‘It doesn’t actually happen’ and I can’t stand it if it keeps happening.
“But it’s a classic progression. It never actually happened – it was step 1. And it shifts slowly, “OK, it’s happening, but it’s not happening much. Then, ‘OK, it’s happening, and that’s the good thing’ And the final stage of it is, “It’s happening, it’s a good thing, and you’ll accept it – or otherwise.”
