Gaines said her sister is a huge fan of Biles, but the Olympics’ great social media posts aimed at former NCAA national swimmers surprised her.
“So I saw her this morning and she almost shed tears in her eyes in this internal dilemma she is facing,” Gaines said. “She imagines that many young sisters would be their older sisters, and she respects me. She always says, ‘I want to be like you.’ She is as healthy as possible.
“But she loved Simone Biles and saw me this morning, and she said, “Riley, I thought you guys were on the same team. I thought you and Simone were fighting for the same thing, amplifying and promoting the ideas of women in sports,” and she said, “Obviously you guys aren’t.” She said Jim could speak. Here’s how Simone Biles treated me and the message she sent to those young girls. ”

“@riley_gaines_You’re really sick. It’s all about this campaign because you lost the race. You’ll defeat the losers straight,” Biles writes in X.
“But instead… you bully them… one thing is certainly not that no one in the sport is safe with you!!!!!”
Gaines replied To the Biles attack.
“This is such a shame. My view is the most controversial take on the planet,” Gaines wrote in response to Biles’ post. “Is Simone Biles a male apologist at the expense of a young girl’s dream? I didn’t have that on my bingo card.
