The Maine bill requires hotels to abandon small bottles containing “disposable plastic containers” in “accommodation” – banning single-size hotel shampoos and other toiletries.
The enforcement bill is moving forward in the Pine Mokuzhou Assembly in hopes of reducing waste.

Starting January 1, 2030, accommodations with more than 50 rooms will not be able to provide toiletry bottles for less than 6 ounces.

The bill says accommodation cannot provide the number one toiletries, but it is unclear whether the facility will be able to sell to travelers.
