On Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security issued a warning against suspected “corruption” by the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) and accused longtime Democrat senator of lobbying the Biden administration and excluded her husband from the watchman despite flying with “known or suspicious terrorists.”

The Trump administration on Wednesday cited evidence “detailing the politicization of the TSA’s watchlist program under the Biden administration.” The DHS said the evidence includes found documents, communications and evidence that clearly emphasizes “the inconsistent application of Biden’s silent partners’ quiet skies and watchlist programs, and avoiding security policies that benefit politically aligned friends and family at the expense of Americans.”
The DHS alleges that Senator Shaheen “lobbyed directly” former TSA administrator David Pekoske. Pekosuke has since been said to have “repeated explicit directions” to remove the senator’s husband from the list of quiet empty spaces of quiet partners. Fox News Digital reached out to Senator Shaheen’s office, but they immediately provided no response to the allegations.

“Pekosuke gave Billy Shaheen a quiet skid exemption to his blanket silent partner, despite the fact that the terrorists have been flying with known or suspected terrorists three times,” DHS said Wednesday. “In the meantime, Tarshi Gabbard and many other Americans were placed on a quiet empty list of silent partners with little or no vision, consciousness, explanation, or surveillance.”
President Donald Trump criticized Gabbard as director of national intelligence in his second term.
The Trump administration has argued that Billy Shaheen was “not the only famous individual to be featured on this exclusion list.”
The DHS said Billy Shaheen’s “blanket exemption has been revoked.”
“It is clear that this program was used as a political Rorodex. Biden administration – To oppose political enemies and benefit their heeled friends,” DHS secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement. The Trump administration will restore integrity, privacy and equal application of law to all Americans, including aviation screening. ”

DHS has long said the program has “laid on the expense of American travelers with little measurable security impact.”
According to the DHS event timeline, Billy Shaheen was the “TSA random selector” for flights from Boston Logan International Airport to Washington Lauregan International Airport. Known or Suspicious Terrorists (KST), DHS said.
Shortly after the trip, Senator Shaheen’s office “had an investigation into the TSA regarding the senator’s husband being screened on these two flights,” the DHS said.
He was again flagged for the second time on October 18, 2023 as a known or suspicious terrorist co-tourist, and then Senator Shaheen met with Pekosuke about her husband being “on the watch list.”

“TSA did not disclose any information regarding the surveillance,” DHS said.
On October 20, 2023, then assistant administrator Nancy Nykamp approved the addition of Intelligence and Analysis Assistance Manager Billy Shaheen to the “Safe Flight Exclusion List.” That is, according to the Trump administration, he was “excluded from designating future TSA random selectors and designating rule-based selectors such as quiet skies, designating association-based rule selectors, and designating silent partner selectors.” Nykamp specifically set out from TSA in March 2025.

DHS said on October 24, 2023, TSA legislative issues communicated with Nykamp and mentioned the lawsuit to add Shaheen to the safe flight exclusion list.
Billy Shaheen remained on the safe flight exclusion list for 18 months until current TSA leadership eliminated him.
