Patrick Mahomes addressed the possibility that he would play for 2028 Los Angeles Olympics For Team USA’s flag football team.

However, when asked about it by a reporter on Thursday, Mahomes seemed uninterested in the role.
“I’ll probably leave it to the younger guys, and by the time I’m coming, I’ll be a little older,” Mahomes said.
In the summer of 2028, when the game was held, Mahomes was 32 years old and has been away for a few weeks since he turned 33 that September.
Mahomes previously suggested that he “want to play” at the Olympics, but questioned whether he had the skills to do so, and also expressed concern about his age in August.
“I have a desire. I don’t know if my skill set is what I need for flag football,” Mahomes said at the time. A lovely kick.
“First of all, I’m in my 30s at that point and then I’m scrambling a lot in the QB position. I’m not just sitting there. And there might be an athletic quarterback out there. You can become a coach. Can you win the gold medal to be a coach?

Last month, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said interest in competition at the summer Olympics was a hot topic in the league and could add a resolution on the issue.

“I think that’s something that the union and clubs will continue to discuss. Both of these things will probably be resolved in the next 60 days.”
Other players interested in competing at the Olympics include Tyreek Hill, Aaron Jones and Kyle Juszczyk. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who won the Super Bowl in February, recently tabbed the game’s Flag Football Ambassador.
