“Chrisley knows the best.” Reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley were released from prison after receiving a pardon from President Donald Trump on Wednesday. Todd and Julie were sentenced to 12 and 7 years in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022, respectively.

Todd left federal prison in Pensacola, Florida on Wednesday evening, according to the office of lawyer Alex Little. Shortly after Todd’s release, Julie was released from Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She served for another two and a half years.
“Todd has been released from prison and is on his way back to Nashville,” Little’s office told Fox News Digital. They later added, “Julie has also been released from prison and is on her way back to Nashville.”

According to the couple’s daughter, Savannah Chrisley, her brother Grayson welcomed her mother while they met her father in Florida.
Savannah was emotional outside of federal prison, waiting for her father’s release earlier in the day.
“Todd has been released from prison and is on his way back to Nashville.”
Speaking to the reporter, Savannah said, “To be honest, this process is absolutely crazy and I’m very grateful to leave here with my dad.”
Savannah alleged that the prosecutor had his father’s head “on the dirt committee” before his prison sentence. She read Trump’s pardon to reporters. It stated an immediate release, and she said she hoped “the prison is going to do that soon.”

Savannah said Trump’s pardon for her parents “literally came out of nowhere.”
“I was in such shock and adoration as the president himself took the time to say that my family was coming back together,” she said.

Todd and Julie, along with their children (Savannah, Chase, and Grayson), gained fame after the debut of the popular reality series, Chrisley Nass Best. The famous show premiered on USA Network in 2014 and quickly gained popularity due to its mix of humor, family drama and Todd’s bold persona.

Before Todd met Julie, he had previously been married to his high school girlfriend Teresa Terry for seven years. The former couple has two children together, daughter Lindsay and son Kyle.
Julie was married to her high school love, Kenneth Wayne Childress, at the age of 18 in 1991. It is unknown when she split from her late ex-husband, but she and Todd tied the knot on May 25, 1996 while pregnant with their eldest son. She chased Chase Chasley on June 1, 1996 almost a week later.
Savannah and Grayson Chrisley were the youngest children of the couple and had their own spinoff show, “Growing Up Chrisley.” The spinoff began in 2019 and aired for four seasons before being cancelled after Todd and Julie’s verdict.

The couple was initially indicted in August 2019, with new charges later filed. They were convicted in June 2022 of conspiring to not only bank fraud and tax evasion, but also to fraud the IRS.
In the original filing, both Chrisleys were charged with one conspiracy to commit bank fraud, five counts of bank fraud, one conspiracy to fraud the US, and one tax fraud. Julie Chrisley was also charged with one count of one wire fraud and obstruction of justice.
Prosecutors found the couple was found guilty of submitting fake documents to the bank when applying for a loan.
Todd and Julie aimed for a minor court victory in 2019 when Georgia’s Department of Revenue cleared a $2 million state tax evasion fee that stems from a two-year investigation into nearly eight years of returns that began in 2008.

Trump told Savannah and Chase that his parents “please look forward to seeing you and wish them a good life.”

“They were given pretty strict treatment based on what I’m hearing, pretty strict treatment,” Trump said. “Bless your parents, and I hear they are wonderful people. This should have happened.”

After a call with Trump, Savannah posted a video on Instagram and said she received a call from the president saying she was signing pardon papers for her parents.
“So both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow, but I still don’t think that’s true!” she cried.
She said she would “forever thank you” to Trump and his administration, her lawyers and everyone else who “expended countless hours” to “make sure my parents were home.”
The phone call with the president comes two weeks after Savanna was interviewed by Trump’s stepdaughter, Lara Trump on Fox News.
Todd and Julie’s children, Chase and Kyle, also shared their excitement about the parent’s pardon.
