At his first meeting with reporters this year, Caleb Williams Immediately I addressed “what everyone wants to ask.”
Earlier this month it was revealed that Williams liked to go to Minnesota, and even tried to avoid being drafted. Chicago BearsHe ended up picking him first overall.
Williams acknowledged that the story had become “distracting” and felt it was important to talk about the situation.

The second-year quarterback didn’t exactly deny what he was told in the book. “However, what keeps him not getting lost is the fact that “he” came to Chicago after a visit with them that “he” went after a meeting with the Vikings.”
Williams said he “Thinking about Bears” “Fair,” he thought, “There were no 4,000 yards of passersby.” Williams’ total of 4,030 yards was the most at the Bears’ quarterback.
“But I came here during my visit. It’s a challenge that I can try to look back on. That was the main goal of everything. Through everything that happened last year and the previous year, I think it was fascinating.” Williams said.
“It was something that glared me. I wanted to come here, be a guy and be the reason the Chicago Bears would turn this around. I think the last thing is that I want to be here. I love being here.”

Williams, as he appreciates, dropped the names of head coaches and offensive coordinators since then, Matt Evals and Shane Waldron.
Former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson became the Bears’ new head coach this offseason. It was a move Williams was “very excited.”
“Then I got off the phone and I was driving on the highway and I don’t know if it was safe, but I cried out loud, just screaming of excitement,” Williams said at the time of employment.
“It brings a lot of clarity in the offseason. It brings a lot of things to do in the offseason. I’m really excited to be able to do this with the Bears and keep Ben Johnson as coach for a long time.”
