Juan Soto only spent one season with the New York Yankees pinstripes. After helping the Yankees advance to the 2024 World Series, Soto switched New York City boroughs to sign Historical Contract With Mets.
Mets We will be holding a 3-game series with the Yankees on Friday night. The latest edition of the subway series marks the first time Soto competed at Yankee Stadium since he cut the pinstripes. Much of the chatter leading up to the series is centered around receptions Soto receives from Yankees followers.

Longtime play-by-play announcer and radio host Michael Kay considered the discussion. Kay discouraged fans from engaging in vulgar chants, but he encouraged the former Yankees slugger to boo.
“We are anticipating the reaction that Juan Soto will get at Yankees Stadium,” Kay said. “And if I’m a Yankee fan, I think it’s Juan Soto’s constant booing.
Kay doubled his anti-profanity attitude and advised him. Yankees fan “A little more clever.”

“Don’t be classless with Bleep Juan Soto,” added Kay. “A little smarter than that. You can boo without using the F-word. There will be a child in the crowd! But let him feel your injury. There’s nothing wrong with it. Don’t sin on it. No, you’re better than that!”

Soto has admitted that some fans could turn him a boo, but I don’t think it could be throttling the slugger’s excitement about returning to Yankee Stadium.
Despite this, Kay suggested that many Yankees fans would feel a sense of betrayal when Soto bolted his team’s Crosstown rival.
“They feel betrayed, they feel like lovers,” Kay pointed out. “If you feel betrayed, you make him a boo. Every time he’s close to the ball, you make him a boo. Every time he’s got a fly ball, you make him a boo. Every time he comes to the plate, you make him a boo.

“I don’t care,” Soto said. Athletic Regarding possible jeers.
Before the start of 2025 Regular SeasonSoto admitted that when he finally visited the Bronx, he “hopes for the worst” from the Yankees loyal.
Soto finished a lonely season with 41 home runs and an average of .288 batting for the Yankees. The right fielder hit eight homers in 43 games against the Mets this season.
