At age 71, Christie Brinkley still feels like a “Uptown girl.”
The former sports illustrated swimsuit cover model has her memoir, “Uptown Girl,” explores the rise to Stardom and the pitfalls she faced.
During her appearance on Thursday on Fox & Friends, the star was asked how she stayed in a camera-enabled form for many years. And Brinkley didn’t hesitate to share her diet.

“First of all, the secret to my greatest beauty is that I was a vegetarian since I was a little kid,” Brinkley said. “And I really, if everyone is at least trying to become vegetarian or vegan… I’m vegan now. I’ve been in the past, maybe this year.”
“You should give it a try,” she encouraged viewers. “You’ll love it, and you’ll never feel good, and you’ll help our planet.
The model previously told Fox News Digital that he is a huge fan of the “rainbow diet” or “vibrantly colored foods” that are rich in vitamins and minerals.

“It strengthens my body — and you’re really, really what you eat,” she shared. “I treat myself with good nutrition, but I don’t feel like I’m in denial.”
“It’s no longer called a diet“Brinkley emphasized. That’s what I’m doing.”

Back in her early modeling yearsBrinkley immediately ate whole fish to drop the pound before the photo shoot. Recently, Brinkley said he refused to deny the food he loves. Moderation is important, she said.

“If I happen to be on a trip or it’s someone’s birthday, you need to have a cake because you’re not lucky to not take a sip of a birthday cake,” she laughed. “I do it, and I say, ‘It’s fine.’ I’m not going to beat myself up about it.
“I was a lifelong vegetarian,” Brinkley said. “But about a year ago I became vegan. I’ve never felt better, so I’m really excited about what I did. I eat a lot of grains and beans, all sorts of colorful food.”

“Slow down, you’re a crazy kid, you’re very ambitious for a boy,” she sang. “But seriously, it’s slow. Enjoy it all. Taste it all. But live.”
In 2021, Brinkley told Fox News Digital that he would not step on a scale to manage his weight. Instead, she lets her clothes talk.
“I’m not going to scale,” she said at the time. “I’ll ask my ‘honest jeans’ to tell you the truth. I’ll try them out to see where I am. If I fit them, I feel good. And when they’re too tight, that’s fine too. ”

“I was a little surprised at how at first I wore a lot of sweatpants,” she added. But for me, that’s a little less part and a little more exercise. And I choose to focus on counting my blessings. Because once you start to realize you are grateful for everything in your life, it won’t be a big hoop. ”
In 2019, Brinkley told Fox News Digital that staying physically active has been essential for many years.
“I’ve always loved sports “I’m doing things outdoors,” she said.

“It’s very important to keep moving every day, especially at my age,” Brinkley continued. “My enemy is sitting. It’s a big mistake to think people need to sit it down. That’s the worst thing you can do. You reach the physical therapist, cause those pain and pain, strengthen your muscles and continue.”
