Mandy Moore It called on LA County over “meaningless protocols” to prevent communities from rebuilding after the fire destroyed thousands of structures in January.
The “This Is Us” star felt it was “impossible” to rebuild her home.
“Thank you, Rounty for making Rounty as frustrating and impossible to rebuild,” Moore wrote in her May 6th Instagram story. US every week. “It’s not surprising, but it’s the heart that shakes the red tape and hoops they’re passing through us all.”
“It’s infuriating and heartless… Endless hoops and meaningless protocols LA County are seeking fire victims who want to rebuild and regain their own lives,” she added. “Was Californian not going to make this as easy as possible?”

The actress said on May 8, “Six Permissions issued in Altadena. 10,000 structures burned out. The pace is glacial. The pointless red tape that hinders what is ready to be rebuilt is just daunting.”
“And I say this as a privileged person: I have insurance, plans, contractors, etc. Everyone deserves a system of supporters and success.

“We’ve just finished building one of the burnt-out structures. [this past] November. We were told we were ready to prepare all our plans and permits and we had to resubmit everything and do it again,” she explained. LA County should be hoping for a success story right now, but instead focuses on outdated protocols. This is why people are leaving California in large numbers. They make it impossible. ”

“Miraculously, a major part of our home is still standing. For now. It’s not livable and is almost unharmed,” the “tangled” star shared on January 9th.
“We lost Taylor and Griffin’s studio, all the instruments and equipment they’ve ever owned,” she added. “We lost our garage and our backhouse. Everyone we know has lost everything. Every house on our street is gone.”
