
Amateur rock collectors have recently hit the jackpot and explored State Parks Arkansas.
Minnesota resident David Decock has unearthed a spectacular 3.81 carat Brown diamond On April 21st in the Crater in Diamond State Park.
According to Arkansas State Park, the diamond is the largest ever discovered in the park in 2025.

Decook added, “I think I was very surprised and I never thought I would find something so big.”

Arkansas State Park also pointed out that heavy rain was covering the area after Decook discovered the gem.

“April has been a very rainy month in the park, with over 12 inches of rain,” Assistant Park Assistant Waymon Cox said in a statement.

“Many of the park’s biggest diamonds are on the ground,” he added.
“When the rain falls into the search area, it washes away the dirt and reveals heavy rocks, minerals and diamonds near the surface.”
